its not only a cult
its a SCAM
wt study edition jan. 2015.
here is the bait:.
as the number of kingdom proclaimers increases and as we near the end of this system of things, there is an urgent need for more facilities.
its not only a cult
its a SCAM
i am a new member to this forum.
i am a current jw who is currently struggling to leave or stay, depends on how you want to look at it.
i have created a new blog, www.jwawoken.com to allow me to have an outlet for the cognitive dissonance in my brain.
welcome here. i went through your phase---44 years ago.
Be aware, though, that it is possible for people to trace the owner of a website domain name. That means that if some JW is nosy enough, they can find who you are, which could lead to you being called before a judicial committee. Sounds paranoid, but it has actually happened.
yep----that should clinch it.
one of the things that gave me confidence in life was that i believed i had the almighty creator/god watching over me, directing me, guiding my every step, protecting me from harm, and answering my prayers.
i now know that is not the case anymore.
i finally stopped praying.
what do you really believe the percentage is for jw who are truly ignorant of what is going on behind closed doors of the w.t.
as opposed to those who actually know something is wrong & yet go along with it for whatever reason?
i have been asked for coffee by what i can only describe as one of the sweetest persons i have ever known & i cant even begin to conceive that she knows what is happening with the child abuse cases but then how do i know?
" They don't know about the pedophilia "
i dont suppose most dubs even know what the word means-----or--think it means loving children----the same as loving horses or strawberry ice cream.
when you look through a keyhole, and see the person you once were?.
as for myself, i am just pleased i have mended my ways.
i realise ( now) my time as a witness was a keyhole that looked in to the ground, and licked the elders arse.
i was always embarrassed when i was a dub--and would never mention it in conversation with " worldly" people if i could possibly avoid it. for many years after i quit i avoided the whole subject.
but i think this was because i thought the cult was highly significant to most people----but more recently ive realised--it isnt. most people know very little about it--or are mildly curious.
so now---nothing to be embarrassed about--it means nothing to me--and nothing to most people i'm ever likely to have any contact with.
i have to rant...i know you'll listen and understand.. i drove over to my son's place.
down one side of the road cars were parked making only room for one vehicle to travel.
here was a car that didn't have right of way approaching.
is this the reason they call them litter-a-trash carts?.
.
are these carts unstable-----would they fall over if a member of the public accidently knocked into them ?
does the WTSoc carry public liability insurance for them ?
does anyone here who goes to meetings know of anyone who comes to their meetings after being contacted on the trolleys?
anyone hear of a real bible study from these carts?.
exaggerations from the assembly platform or jw urban myths do not count!.
i had a secret conversation with a dyed in the wool jw recently.. they told me that they felt that the organisation now was a different religion to the 'good old days' when knorr was the boss.
the books were more interesting.
the zeal was there.
or need to buy an ice cream??
ha ha---probably ban that--especially strawberry flavour
has anyone here gone nuclear on their spouse and, all of a sudden, came out in the open as a jw opposer?.
by this i mean, sitting them down and saying: i no longer want to be a jw anymore, do not want to go to meetings or preaching anymore!
and, what has happened in the relationship after that?.
i did. back in 1971. wife and i were out on the door to door misery when we had to walk over a river bridge.
i sent my magazine zip-case skimming into the river and told her that was it for me----no more field service.
